Quick Questions & Answers
- How long are the seasons?
- Fall Season: Practices start in early August & games usually start at the end of August or early September. The fall season ends in late October or early November.
- Spring Season: Practices start in mid March & games usually start in early April. The spring season ends in late May or early June.
- How often do teams practice?
- Twice a week for 1.5 hours
- How far do you travel for games?
- Most of our teams play in NWOYSL. For teams in NWOYSL the farthest games are an hour away. NWOYSL games are in the Toledo area, but you could play teams in Lima, Bryan and Archbold.
- For teams in the Ohio North State League games can be in the Cleveland area and regularly play teams in the Mansfield area as well.
- Parents will be told what league the team is playing in before they have to accept a spot on a team.
- How many games do you play?
- Most teams play an 8-10 game schedule with half of the games played at home (Emory Adams park) and the other half out of town.
- Are you required to play both the fall and spring seasons?
- Yes. When you accept a spot on a team, you are committing to play for the full year - unless during a supplemental roster addition, which will be for the spring season.
- Do you have to buy a new uniform every year?
- No, uniforms are usually purchased every two years. The cost of the uniform is not included in the fees and is a separate cost.
- The club will be getting completely new uniforms for the Fall 2020-Spring 2021 club year because our current uniform is no longer being manufactured by adidas.
- My son/daughter will be a U8 next year. Will they play 4 v 4 without a goalkeeper like the new USSF rules are dictating?
- It depends. We have seen and been told of great success with 4V4 in the NWOYSL. We will look at the age group and decide what is best for development of players.
